Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all purchases and use of products sold by African Bonsai, whether purchased online, in-store, or through third-party platforms. By purchasing or using our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Products & Use

African Bonsai products are sold as bonsai growing kits intended for educational, hobby, and personal use only. Products are not intended for commercial resale, professional horticultural use, or any use not expressly stated.

Bonsai cultivation is a natural process influenced by environmental factors beyond our control, including climate, watering, light, temperature, soil conditions, and user care.

2. Orders & Availability

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. African Bonsai reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at its discretion, including but not limited to stock shortages, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity.

3. Pricing & Payment

Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated. African Bonsai reserves the right to change pricing at any time without prior notice. Payment must be received in full before orders are processed and dispatched.

4. Use at Your Own Risk

By purchasing and using African Bonsai products, you acknowledge and agree that use of the product is entirely at your own risk.

African Bonsai shall not be held liable for:

• Failed seed germination or plant loss after delivery
• Damage caused by overwatering, under-watering, incorrect care, improper handling, or unsuitable environmental conditions
• Misuse of the product or deviation from provided instructions or guidance
• Injury, harm, or damage caused to children, pets, or third parties due to improper use, lack of supervision, or unsafe handling
• Allergic reactions, physical injury, or property damage resulting from product use
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the product

Customers are responsible for ensuring products are used safely and appropriately. Adult supervision is recommended when kits are used in households with children.

While seed germination cannot be guaranteed, customers experiencing germination issues are encouraged to contact us for troubleshooting support at customercare@africanbonsai.co.za.

5. Refunds & Returns

Refunds and returns are subject to the following conditions:

• Refund requests must be made within 7 days of delivery
• Items must be unused, unopened, and returned in original packaging
• Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs
• Original shipping fees are non-refundable

Refunds will only be processed once the returned item has been received and inspected. Where a return is approved, refunds may take up to 7 working days to be processed and reflected. Processing times may be subject to administrative or banking delays.

Where a return is declined following inspection, the customer will be responsible for the cost of return shipping should they wish the item to be returned to them.

Refunds are not offered based on seed germination results. If seeds do not germinate, customers are encouraged to contact us for troubleshooting and guidance at customercare@africanbonsai.co.za.

6. Third-Party Sales & Platforms

Where products are sold through third-party platforms, these Terms and Conditions apply in addition to any platform-specific terms. African Bonsai is not responsible for delays, errors, or disputes caused by third-party service providers.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, African Bonsai shall not be liable for any loss, injury, claim, or damage arising from the use or inability to use its products, whether direct or indirect.

8. Changes to Terms

African Bonsai reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our products constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
